Charles, the town Professional Hair Dresser (PHD), came into Pie Lab this morning as usualy to get his cup of coffee before heading over to his shop. He has been telling us about his grandchildren so he had pictures of them this morning and of him at his ball room dancing club. He was telling us all about dancing and then about how he saw us at Taco Tuesday at the local Mexican restaurant doing the cupid shuffle during a break in the karaoke. Not really sure how it progressed from there, but next thing I knew, we had the cupid shuffle playing and dancing to it in the little path between the table and counter...and all caught on the documentary film footage. You never know what will happen when you come in for a cup of coffee.

...I've probably gained like five pounds just today, but it was all delicious. It's incredible to be in a place where people talk about ideas all day and push what design can be and do. I had a great conversation yesterday with Eric, one of the designers in town to oversee what's going on, about how design is at this shifting place where it will no longer be defined as it always has been. We are in a pliable moment where a crash of abundance creates a place for change and reshaping. Now the key is figuring out how that translates tangibly, or at least materializes from an idea to an action, (and, let's be honest, have some sort of income to live on).
Hooray!

Learned to french press coffee-what an art, but exponentially better than drip coffee. One fruit pizza pie and one blackberry dump cake pie down. Southern Delight Peanut Butter pie on the way Monday morning.
